Windows XP SP3 can cause a headache if you run Symantec software

Hey,

I just wanted to pass this on to my readers, which seems to be a small group of friends. When you upgrade to XP SP3 or Vista SP1 you may notice weird things such as a blank device manager, weird registry entries and missing network connections. Symantec has provided a tool that will fix most of these issues, download here.

  1. It is. It affects some Symantec products, security products. I ran it and found no problems, but I have a fresh install of XP SP3 and I ran cleaner before running the tool.
